Strawberry Pizza a Slice of Dessert Heaven
Strawberry and cheesecake lovers, united in this Strawberry Pizza! This light and refreshing dessert is the perfect blend of sweet strawberries and creamy goodness. When strawberry season rolls around, it’s time to whip up a delicious Strawberry Pizza that’ll have everyone asking for seconds (or thirds!). Trust me, you won’t regret adding this to your dessert repertoire.
Sweet Spring 🌸
Strawberry season kicks off in early to mid-April, just as spring graces us with its warm embrace and colorful blooms. These little red gems begin ripening in the spring and keep on giving through summer, sometimes even into early fall. So, if you love strawberries like I do, you’ve got a good chunk of the year to indulge in this treat!
Delicious Little Red Berries 🍓
Strawberries are hand-harvested almost daily once the season starts because they don’t keep ripening after being picked. So, when you’re at the store or your local fruit stand, remember: red means ripe! If your berries have white tips or ends, they’ll never reach that perfect sweetness. So, choose wisely, friends!

Versatile Little Berries
Strawberries are the stars of this Strawberry Pizza, but they’re also great in so many other recipes. Think strawberry chicken salad, jams, dried strawberries, or even frozen for later. My mouth is watering just thinking about strawberry pie, ice cream, strawberry shortcake, and Italian strawberry gelato. Yummy goodness indeed!

Let’s Get Started
This E-Z dessert has three main parts (four if you count rinsing those red beauties). Over the years, I’ve learned that it’s best not to wash strawberries until you’re ready to use them. Just transfer them from the basket to a bowl and pop them in the fridge.
It’s Bath Time 🛁
Yes, you heard that right—bath time! I fill my clean sink or a large bowl with cool water and add a splash of white vinegar before tossing in the strawberries. A gentle swirl with my hand loosens any grime, dirt, or impurities. Let them soak for 5 minutes or so; the vinegar works wonders in killing off bacteria.
When I’ve got a full or half-flat of strawberries, I go big—filling the sink with water and adding up to a cup of white vinegar. If I’m only cleaning a basket or two, I stick to a large mixing bowl with water and 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Then, it’s onto a large towel to air dry in a single layer with space between each berry.
Out comes my handy little strawberry huller to remove the core, green top, and stem. No huller? No problem! A paring knife or even a plastic straw will do the trick. Once hulled, slice them up and store them until we’re ready to rock and roll.

The Crust
The crust for this Strawberry Pizza is like a crumble crust—super easy and oh-so-tasty! You’ll need flour, room-temperature butter, chopped nuts, and powdered sugar.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, chopped nuts, and powdered sugar. Whisk until blended, then add in the butter. Using clean hands, pinch the butter and dry ingredients together until the mixture is nice and crumbly.
Pour and Press
I love using a round pizza pan for this dessert, but feel free to use whatever dish you have on hand—a pie plate, Pyrex baking dish, or whatever suits your fancy.
Pour the crumbly crust mixture onto your pizza pan and spread it out evenly. Press it down with your fingers until it forms a solid crust that reaches the edges of the pan. Pop it into your preheated 400-degree oven for 12-15 minutes, until it’s a lovely light golden color. Don’t overbake—tough crust is a no-no!
The Filling
This filling is a breeze—just three ingredients: cream cheese, sugar, and one beaten egg. Blend them together until well combined, and once your crust has cooled, spread the filling over it. Bake in a 200-degree oven for about 10 minutes, just enough to set the filling.

The Topping
The topping is a simple mixture of water, sugar, cornstarch, and strawberry Jello.
Start by bringing your water to a boil, then add the sugar and stir until it dissolves. In a small mason jar, combine water and cornstarch, shake it up until the cornstarch is fully dissolved, and then slowly pour it into the sugar water. It’ll thicken up quickly, so keep stirring until the mixture turns clear. Remove from heat, stir in the strawberry Jello, and set it aside to cool.
Strawberry Time! 🍓🍓🍓
Now it’s time to arrange those beautiful strawberries on top of your pizza. I’ve already sliced them and placed them into a mixing bowl.
I like to start from the outer edges, arranging the slices in circles toward the center, using the largest slices on the outside and gradually getting smaller as I move in. But hey, this is your creation—feel free to chop them into bite-size pieces or arrange them however you like!
Pour on the Topping and Chill
Begin spooning the topping over the strawberries, spreading it as you go. After you’ve covered all the berries, use a large spoon to evenly distribute the topping. Now all that’s left is to place the pizza in the fridge to chill. In a few hours, you’ll be enjoying a delicious slice of strawberry heaven.

Final Thoughts
This is one of our favorite dessert recipes and a must-make every year when the first strawberries ripen. It’s perfect for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, the 4th of July, or any time you want to impress your friends and family. My boy often put in special requests for this treat!
There’s something magical about sitting outside with family, listening to their voices, watching the sun set, feeling a cool breeze, and enjoying a slice of Strawberry Pizza with Maple Cinnamon Whipped Topping. These are the moments I treasure, and I hope you’ll make some of your own with this E-Z and delicious recipe.
